In 1993, Combs established his own record label, Bad Boy Entertainment, which became synonymous with the burgeoning hip-hop and R&B scene of the decade. He signed iconic artists such as The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, and 112, solidifying his status as a major player in the industry.

Controversies and Legal Troubles

Despite his meteoric rise to fame, Combs’s career was marred by controversies and legal troubles. In 1999, he faced assault charges stemming from an incident at a New York nightclub where he allegedly attacked a record executive with a champagne bottle. He was later acquitted of all charges.

Accusations of Sexual and Physical Abuse

In recent years, Combs has faced serious allegations of sexual and physical abuse from multiple women, including his long-time partner Cassie Ventura. These accusations have tarnished his reputation and led to legal action against him.
