PinkPantheress has announced the cancellation of all her upcoming tour dates, citing the need to prioritize her physical health and overall wellbeing.

The 23-year-old artist, who had been touring with Olivia Rodrigo in the US and was set to co-headline the Field Day festival in London, shared the news via Instagram.

“It appears I have reached a wall which I’m struggling to penetrate through,” wrote PinkPantheress, known for hits like “Boy’s A Liar” and “Just For Me”. She expressed gratitude to her fans, touring team, and Olivia Rodrigo for the opportunities and support, and conveyed her hope to return once she regains her health.

Impact on Scheduled Performances

PinkPantheress was scheduled to support Olivia Rodrigo’s tour for several more weeks, with festival dates in Florida, Arizona, the UK, and Thailand. Additionally, she has canceled her entire tour of Australia and New Zealand, which included eight dates supporting Coldplay.

PinkPantheress gained fame during the pandemic through her TikTok posts, blending breathy vocals with retro garage samples. She quickly became a breakout star, winning the BBC’s Sound of 2022 poll and achieving significant success with her collaboration with Ice Spice on “Boy’s A Liar Pt 2”.

In June 2022, she had to cancel a performance at Spain’s Primavera Festival due to partial hearing loss, revealing later that she had lost 80% of the hearing in her right ear. Despite this, she continued to record and perform, contributing to the Barbie soundtrack and releasing her debut album “Heaven Knows” in November 2022.

Recent Tour Highlights

Earlier this year, PinkPantheress, real name Victoria Beverley, embarked on her Capable of Love Tour. Memorable moments from the tour include bringing out an all-male group of Irish dancers during a performance in Dublin and gifting her Coach handbag to a fan in Ohio who presented her with a custom-made Funko Pop.

Garbage Also Cancels Concerts

In related news, rock band Garbage has canceled their future shows following an injury sustained by lead singer Shirley Manson during their European tour.

The band announced that Manson would require surgery and rehabilitation, though they did not specify the nature of the injury. High-profile festival appearances in the US were among the canceled dates, with Liz Phair and Devo stepping in to replace Garbage at the HFStival in Washington, DC, and the Ohana Fest in California, respectively.

Manson expressed her disappointment on Instagram, stating, “No-one is more crushed about this than I am. You know I would push through if I could.”

These cancellations highlight the often overlooked physical toll that touring can take on artists, underscoring the importance of health and wellbeing even amidst professional commitments.
