Coldplay‘s headlining gig at the 2024 Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, June 29, was a star-studded affair, attracting an array of celebrities.

Hollywood A-Listers in Attendance

Among the notable attendees were Tom Cruise, Gillian Anderson, and Simon Pegg. Pegg, 54, who starred alongside Cruise, 61, in the Mission: Impossible film series, joined his co-star for the event.

The duo’s cinematic history includes appearances in Mission: Impossible III, Ghost Protocol, Rogue Nation, Fallout, and the recent Dead Reckoning Part One.

Pegg is also set to reprise his role in the upcoming sequel.

In addition to their collaboration on Mission: Impossible, Pegg and Anderson, 55, shared the screen in the 2008 comedy How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, based on Toby Young’s memoir.

Jamming to Oasis

The trio was seen enjoying the pre-show festivities. In a video shared by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Matt Everitt, they were captured jamming to Oasis’s “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”

The clip shows Pegg energetically singing and conducting the audience, while Cruise joins in with a more subdued gesture and Anderson films the moment on her phone.

Special Guest Appearance by Michael J. Fox

Coldplay’s performance was further highlighted by a special appearance from Michael J. Fox, who joined the band onstage to play guitar during their hit song “Fix You.” Fox, 63, who has been battling Parkinson’s Disease since 1991, performed from a wheelchair.

Frontman Chris Martin expressed his admiration for the actor, saying, “The main reason we’re in a band is because of Back to the Future. So thank you to Michael, our hero.”

Support from Dakota Johnson

In the crowd, actress Dakota Johnson was seen supporting her fiancé, Chris Martin. She was captured on a livestream watching Coldplay’s performance from the side of the stage, showing her support and enjoying the show.

This marked Coldplay’s fifth time headlining the iconic music festival, a testament to their enduring popularity and influence in the music industry. The presence of these high-profile celebrities added an extra layer of excitement and glamour to the already anticipated set.
