High-speed chase on Los Angeles freeways ends in arrest

Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department charged a pursuit suspect wanted for allegedly robbing a vehicle Tuesday evening. 

A dramatic high-speed chase unfolded on the freeways of Los Angeles as police pursued a suspect driving a gray Cadillac SUV. 

The chase began on the westbound lanes of the 105 Freeway from Central Avenue before transitioning to the northbound 110 Freeway.

Passenger Bailout

During the pursuit, several passengers reportedly exited the vehicle, indicating a tense situation for both the occupants and law enforcement. Despite this development, the driver persisted, determined to evade capture.

Conclusion of Pursuit

The pursuit eventually led to an exit onto surface streets, where the driver came to a stop at the intersection of S. Broadway and W. 39th Street. 

Here, surrounded by police, the suspect exited the vehicle and was promptly taken into custody, bringing an end to the high-stakes pursuit.
