In subsequent tweets, Doja elaborated on her point, questioning why parents would expose their children to explicit content: “im rapping about c– why are you bringing your offspring to my show,” she remarked. She even went as far as referring to children as a “mistake” in one of her tweets, underscoring her uncompromising stance.

“Doja recently returned to the music festival circuit as a headliner, captivating audiences at Coachella and making history as the second Black female artist to headline the festival since Beyoncé in 2018.”

Doja’s bold statements come on the heels of her recent successes in the music industry. After headlining Coachella for the first time, she reaffirmed her position as a powerhouse performer.

Her most recent album, Scarlet, released in September 2023, received acclaim from fans and critics alike, following the success of Planet Her in June 2021. Additionally, her 2023 tour, The Scarlet Tour, marked her return to the stage after four years, showcasing her evolution as an artist.

While her lyrics may not be suitable for all audiences, her dedication to her craft and her ability to captivate audiences remain undeniable.
