Yamashiro Hollywood Brings Kyoto To DINE LA

Dine LA Restaurant Week showcases Los Angeles as a premier dining destination, while highlighting the top-ranking culinary adventures around the sun-kissed city.

Dine LA Restaurant Week is here! The food-loving extravaganza began on Friday, July 12, and will proceed in festivity until until July 26, 2024. Yamashiro Hollywood will feature two special Summer menus in collaboration with Dine LA – the first traditional menu is designed for the guest with an unlimited curiosity for culinary creation achieved through various blends of vegetables and sea life. The second special menu offers delicacies that are entirely vegan, down to the last grain of spice. Perched unto the winding slopes of Hollywood Hills, Yamashiro offers guests a dazzling view of the city, as well as a cultured experience devised by international leaders in culinary expertise. The Dine LA x Yamashiro Hollywood collaborative menus are available for delight Monday through Sunday from 5 – 11 PM.

This Summer, Los Angeles won’t hesitate to take over the culinary scene. Though Yamashiro has designed two new menu’s for guest visitors seeking out the limited-time Dine LA collaboration features, your tastebuds are always invited to taste avant-garde Japanese-inspired dishes such as: The Wagyu Sukiyaki, Matcha Soba Noodles, and a variety of seared specialty rolls. And, for the aesthetes flying in from storied art capitals of the world, Yamashiro invites you to take a hand-held stroll in the spacious courtyard while the chefs ruminate over your order in the kitchen. Watch the 60 year old koi fish swim while in the midst of enchanting Yamashiro gardens, decorated with lush landscaping and hilltop wildflowers. The romantic ambience at Yamashiro is reflective of an expansive history and ancient philosophy, being that Yamashiro translates to “mountain place” in Japanese – acting as a literal description of the historic hilltop mansion built in 1914. The Japanese dojo was intended to be a replica of a palace located in the “Yamashiro” province mountains near Kyoto, Japan.

As you prepare your appetite for tender bites, consider the traditional set $65 dinner menu hosted by Dine LA x Yamashiro. Course one of the menu is a deliciously tempting creation of Miso Soup, generously packed in with roasted cabbage, Wakame, and seasoned Kaiiware. For those with a hankering for spice, course two of the traditional Dine LA x Yamashiro menu offers visitors Yellowtail Serrano Sashimi – accompanied by pickled serrano and perfect ponzu. Course three invites you to choose between Yamashiro’s Chilean Seabass, or Prime New York. Can’t choose one? No problem, Yamashiro understands and thanks you for your eagerness! We suggest making a reservation for Friday, July 19 to indulge in the Chilean Seabass, boasted in buttered leeks, verdant peas, Miso Beurre Blanc, and thick Mizuna Oil. Then, say, on Sunday, July 21 – make a new reservation to feast on Yamashiro’s famous Prime New York. Food critics of Los Angeles are loyal fans to Prime New York, particularly enraptured by the plate’s summer vegetables soaked in house-made spicy sour sauce. The final course offered on the Dine LA x Yamashiro traditional menu is an exquisite Miso Caramel Rice Pudding.

In order to be fully treated to the richness of Japanese culture, the Yamashiro x Dine LA traditional menu is only available for on-site enjoyment. While you and your crew mingle under Japanese imported wood-canopies, Yamashiro’s new SILK WHISPER cocktail awaits your acquaintance. The Japanese culture inspired beverage is a serene playground for the body, containing green tea infused Haku Vodka, Aperol, Rhubarb, Sparkling Rosé, and just a pinch of Himalayan Sea Salt. Also replenishing for the body is the Dine LA x Yamashiro speciality menu, showcasing only the finest vegan dishes The Hollywood Hills has to offer. With a thoughtfully set dinner price blueprinted at $65, veggie adventurers may indulge in Miso Kabocha Soup, followed by Vegetable Futomaki and Sesame Somen Noodles. The Vegetable Futomaki plate features a plentiful harvest of caramelized tofu, asparagus, roasted spinach, lemon-splashed cucumber, and ripe avocado. To conclude your night of culinary resplendence, the Dine LA x Yamashiro speciality menu offers visitors a tasty Miso Caramel Rice Pudding, perfected to fill the room with satisfaction.
