Karol G’s private jet makes emergency landing in Los Angeles

Grammy-winning singer Karol G’s private jet saw a mid-air emergency after the captain’s distress call.

Tense moments unfolded at a Los Angeles airport when Grammy-winning artist Karol G’s private jet was forced to make an emergency landing due to reported smoke in the cockpit. 

The incident occurred hours ago, causing concern for the Colombian reggaeton singer and her entourage who were onboard the aircraft.

Safe Landing Amidst Danger

According to reports from ABC7, the Gulfstream plane, carrying Karol G and sixteen passengers, successfully landed at Van Nuys Airport in LA after departing from Hollywood Burbank Airport. 

The flight was abruptly diverted over Cajun Pass as the cockpit filled with smoke, prompting the need for an immediate emergency landing.

Relief and Safety

Following a tense situation, the private jet safely touched down at Van Nuys Airport around 9 pm local time.

Video footage captured the relief of passengers as they embraced each other upon disembarking from the aircraft at the Los Angeles airport.

Investigation and Recognition

The cause of the cockpit malfunction remains unknown, with investigations underway to determine the source of the issue. 

Meanwhile, Karol G, recently awarded the Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album for her 2023 record Mañana Será Bonito, continues to garner acclaim. 

Named the 2024 Woman of the Year by Billboard magazine, she is set to be honored at the upcoming Billboard Women in Music Awards. 

Scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, at the YouTube Theatre in Hollywood Park, the event will feature a special performance by the renowned artist.
