The incident unfolded around midnight on Friday, with the first collision involving a light-colored pickup traveling in the wrong direction.

Details of the Incident:

  1. The first collision occurred when a light-colored pickup, traveling against traffic on San Fernando Road, struck the homeless man as he crossed the street.

  3. The security camera footage captured the horrifying sequence of events, showing the man’s attempts to stand after the initial impact.
  4. A second collision occurred as the victim was hit again on the other side of the street.
  5. Disturbingly, the video showed a third driver slowing down on the side of the street but ultimately choosing to drive away without offering assistance.

Call for Empathy and Responsibility:

  1. Khalil questioned the lack of empathy and compassion exhibited by the drivers, urging them to consider how they would feel if it were their family members in a similar situation.
  2. The incident highlights the moral responsibility of individuals to provide assistance in emergencies, especially when witnessing someone in need.

The incident has sparked outrage in the local community, with calls for accountability and justice for the victim.

Authorities are likely conducting an investigation to identify the drivers involved in the hit-and-run incidents.

The Pacoima hit-and-run incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of empathy, responsibility, and community support in times of crisis.

The incident’s aftermath underscores the need for increased awareness about the consequences of hit-and-run actions and the collective responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of others.
