In Woodland Hills near Pierce College, rainfall accumulation reached up to 0.70 inches within a 30-minute timeframe, highlighting the intensity of the fast-moving thunderstorm.

A special weather statement was issued for areas including Pasadena, El Monte, and West Covina until 5:45 p.m., alerting residents to dangerously windy conditions and the possibility of pea-sized hail.
