Breaking Barriers in Beauty: Laura Clark’s Journey from Pageant Queen to Industry Pioneer

From US Senate Intern to Pageant Production Virtuoso

Laura Clark has risen to become the pageant industry’s leading producer, as recognized by the Global Beauty Awards this year. With a varied career that has transitioned from political science to the dance floor, and now to the heights of pageantry, Laura’s influence is both wide-ranging and profound.

Once a US Senate intern, Laura’s pivot to pageantry was marked by her victory as Ms. United States 2011. Her entry into pageants, initially as a means to connect with the community, unveiled her innate knack for leadership behind the scenes. “My talents off stage were more valuable to the industry than being the girl in the spotlight,” Laura shared. Her journey since has been nothing short of inspirational.

Laura’s 15-year tenure in the Game Entertainment industry has been studded with accolades. Cheering for two NFL teams, a featured appearance on CMT’s “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team,” conducting tours with US Armed Forces Entertainment, and directing game entertainment for indoor football. Notably, she was at the forefront of the Science Cheerleaders group, intertwining the glamor of cheerleading with the gravitas of STEM.

In the pageant realm, Laura’s mentorship has groomed illustrious titleholders like Candiace Dillard, Elizabeth Safrit, and Lindsey Coffey. Her insights as a pageant director have also caught the attention of media giants like VICE News, highlighting her expertise in a Miss Earth documentary.

In the wake of Cheslie Kryst’s tragic passing, Laura co-founded the Still She Rose initiative, bringing mental health to the forefront of the pageant community. This endeavor champions mental wellness, offers leadership grants, and fosters counseling partnerships for titleholders.

As we approach the end of 2023, Liv & Rock Productions, led by Laura, is gearing up for the 9th annual crowning of Miss Earth USA. With an eye towards expansion, Laura’s company is delving into media content and special events that touch the essence of pageantry, fashion, and entertainment.

Residing in the Chicagoland area, Laura has crafted a life that balances her professional aspirations with her roles as a wife and mother. Kansas City’s very own, she remains steadfast in her mission to transform the beauty industry into a platform of integrity and professional excellence.
