During Taylor Swift‘s sold-out concert in Singapore, an alleged gatecrashing incident occurred involving Yang Chenguang and Li Xiao Wei, who purportedly distracted security staff while sneaking into the venue.

The incident took place on Monday, amidst Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour stop in the South East Asian city-state.

Tickets to Swift’s concert in Singapore are in high demand, with the show being the only stop of her tour in the region.

Desperate fans from various countries, including China, have turned to resellers to secure seats for the sold-out event. Singapore’s strict laws mean that anyone found guilty of cheating could face up to three years in jail.

Arrests and Ongoing Investigation

Yang and Li were apprehended during the concert, with a third individual also detained. While Yang Junhao, a Chinese influencer, claimed to have unknowingly purchased fake tickets, he was detained and questioned by the police.

Security personnel at the Singapore Sports Hub, the concert venue, reported detaining several individuals attempting to trespass during the event.

Reactions and Concert Organisers’ Response

Yang Junhao shared his experience on Douyin, expressing his distress at being detained and claiming to be a victim of the ticket scam.

Concert organisers pledged to collaborate with authorities to ensure public safety and security.

Swift’s concert promoters struck an exclusive deal with Singapore to host the show for South East Asia, reportedly worth millions of dollars, leading to tensions among neighboring countries.

Ongoing Tour and Remaining Shows

Despite the incident, Swift is set to continue her tour in Singapore, with three more shows scheduled before wrapping up her regional performances.
