It is incredible to see how a few professionals walked their path to success, thriving on their passion, resilience, visionary ideas, and, most importantly, a powerful purpose. These professionals today have created their own legacy with their businesses, inspiring young minds to push boundaries and chart their success stories. Serving as one of the finest examples in the world of law is one such phenomenal talent named Elizabeth A. Tresp, who is at the forefront of high net worth planning with her boutique law firm, Tresp, Day & Associates, Inc.

Since 1992, the San Diego law firm of Tresp, Day & Associates, Inc. has been at the forefront of offshore and domestic asset protection law, having literally written the book on the complex practice since the ratification of the Hague Trust Convention. Known for structuring estates to keep clients’ assets where they belong, with them and their families, the firm is established as a national leader in high net worth planning, asset protection, and business planning.

Elizabeth earned her BA in 1999 at Middlesex University in London. Her Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of San Diego School of Law, along with her highest honors in Criminal Tax Fraud and Taxation of Anti-Money Laundering, and is licensed to practice law in California, Montana, and Wyoming, which is all a testament to her dedication and expertise. She founded Tresp Law, APC, which practices estate planning, the administration of decedents’ estates, and trust and probate litigation. In 2019, Elizabeth took the helm of the successful and long-standing firm of Day & Associates, Inc.

She diversified her business holdings into businesses in the sectors of retail, food service, marketing, and corporate services. Now she is able to facilitate her deep commitment to community service and philanthropy. Elizabeth serves on a nonprofit board, directly volunteers time in her communities in California and Wyoming, and established the 501(c)(3) nonprofits Tresp Family Arts Foundation and Tresp Conservation Trust, which focus on funding the performing arts and preservation of wildlife habitats and cultural heritage, respectively.

Elizabeth A. Tresp strikes a balance between business, asset protection, and philanthropy, and has come a long way in her journey.
