Health Concerns for Tevez

Carlos Tevez, the former football sensation known for his stints at Manchester United, Manchester City, and West Ham, was admitted to a hospital in Buenos Aires on Tuesday. 

The 40-year-old, currently serving as the head coach of Argentine top-flight side Independiente, will remain hospitalized until medical tests are concluded.

Status Update from Independiente

Independiente, in a statement released on X, confirmed that Tevez underwent initial tests at the Trinidad Hospital in San Isidro, which yielded satisfactory results. However, as a precautionary measure, he will continue to receive medical attention at the hospital.

Tevez’s Coaching Career

Tevez assumed the role of head coach at Independiente in August 2023, transitioning into management following his retirement as a player in June 2022. Prior to his tenure at Independiente, he had a brief stint in charge of Rosario Central. 

Tevez’s illustrious playing career included three spells with Boca Juniors and a successful international career with Argentina, earning 76 caps between 2004 and 2015.

Notable Achievements

During his time in the Premier League from 2006 to 2013, Tevez made a significant impact, amassing 201 appearances and scoring 84 goals. 

He clinched the Premier League title twice with Manchester United (2007-08 and 2008-09) and once with Manchester City (2011-12), solidifying his status as one of the league’s most formidable forwards.
